I did think the flavour and taste of the wheat and citrus where a little on the weaker side and the taste was not quite as refined as the classics but a decent beer. blklab2007 (974), Connecticut, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 23, 2008 bottle stamped 6/6/08 poured into a weizen glass has a light golden color with a thin white head that fell quickly to a ring in the glass. aroma has clover, lemon peel, light perfumed spice, wheat, and yeast. actually a nice nose for a long trail with some honey sweetness growing. mouth feel is light with lower end carbonation. flavor has clover, nice sweetness with a honey like kicker, lighter wheat, and complementing spices. takes a different approach at a white with the citrus and was easy drinking and enjoyable. shalloWMeans (160), Independence, Kentucky, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 22, 2008 A quite intersting example of the white beer style from Long Trail, who normally sticks with their successful German interpretations. The appearance is definitely right on par, with a cloudy, yeasty "white" haziness and bright sunny streaks under a fluffy white head. The aroma and taste though, is where this beer differs. It is full of the typical, zesty, spicy coriander notes and has a great refreshing drinkability, but in the place of curacao orange peel, there is instead a very extreme lemon zest character, and even a bit of spruce. Together, they make for a beer that tastes exactly like Pine-Sol.... I did not find this to be all that unappealing, and it was actually very drinkable. But, as for a legitimate example of a Belgian wit, this falls a bit short. Perhaps that was the point... but I kind of doubt it. I did drink a couple of these anyway, and I would be lying if I said that I didn’t enjoy it... just a little bit.

Tastes citrussy and tarte with some spicy hints to it. Nice, but a bit on the watery side palate wise. BuckeyeSammy (456), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 4, 2008 12 oz bottle from Thaichile. 051408 stamped on the neck of the bottle. Pour is a hazed, cloudy pale yellow with a bright white one inch head. Head falls fast with no lacing. Aroma of bright fresh lemon citrus, wheat and some floral spiciness. Taste is soft and sugary lemons. The floral is present, and is quite perfumy in the aftertaste. There is some bitter hoppiness near the clean and brief finish. This was mostly about the lemons. Overall, nice drinkable Wit. Thanks Mark! Beerdedone (1885), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA
