Commercial Description:
Light, crisp and refreshing, Blackbeary Wheat is modeled after the spontaneously fermented "Lambics" of Belgium. Real blackberries added to the fermentation contribute a subtle fruitiness to this Summer Quencher! Available May through August.

Very very light beer. Not sweet or sour, basically as another user said, seltzer water.

Yes sucker sucker for fruit beer. When I saw a hint of blackberries. I said Fuck, this is going to suck. Anyway pours lager yellow with a bright white ring. Nos of faint blackberry which is strange and bitter. Yeah this sucks bad.

Tastes more like seltzer water than beer. I like the idea, but there is no body to this beer and no typical flavors associated with beer. I’m not saying it’s gross, it just doesn’t taste like beer.

Had from the tap at the brewery. It smelled and tasted like water downed blueberries. It was a clear golden color near a pilsner. Pretty nasty in my opinion. I had a hard time chasing down my sample of this one. A very light beer with a hint of fruits.

Not a nice beer. Pale golden color, almost too pale. uhhh, bitter flavor, not really skunky, I think this is how this beer is supposed to be. oh well.

Bottle (12oz). Very pale, very clear gold pour, smallish white fizzy head. Smells initially like poop - eventually some generic fruit and stale weeds. Tastes like a redfruit popsicle with a little cardboard added. Has a watery, cheaply sugary, weak, somewhat harsh mouthfeel - another Long Trail winner

12 oz. bottle. Poured gold with thin head. Crisp with notes of raspberry and blackberry flavor. Finishes tart. Not all that bad; poundable come summertime.

I was surprised by a couple things with this beer. First of all the color was clear golden with a medium head and a little bit of lace. Since this was a blackberry beer I thought it might be darker... Found out it was considered a wheat beer but it did not have the cloudy look a typical wheat beer has. The taste is that of berries (surprised?) sweet in the middle turning rather bland at the end. Lighter than I thought it would be. All in all it’s not a bad beer but nothing to great either.
