Smooth sweet taste of berries with subtle wheat lurking in the background. Knocked it a few points for it’s lack of overall alcohol content and being more berry flavour than wheat. Still a very nice beer though. epf33 (222), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 29, 2008 Bottle. Pours yellow with a white head. Sweet aroma with notes of wheat and tart fruit. Medium/thin body, a bit to much carbonation. Flavor is again tart fruit, I’d say more raspberry than blackberry, but what the hell do I know. Pretty average and underwhelming. Light clear yellow color with a small white head. Moderately tart beginning getting slightly dry in the middle. Flavor fades in the finish. JFGrind (1353), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 9, 2008 Bottle, pours like ginger ale with a thicker head. Surprisingly, however, it laces the glass extremely well. Aroma is skunky. Would it be adequate to say that it is ’beer’ flavored? Not in this crowd. So I would say that it has the light skunky type of flavor that made all the Pale Lagers out there famous. However, the light sourness and bitterness from the blackberries gives an interesting quality to it.
Now, I am giving this beer a slightly better rating that I normally would because it made me think. 3 or 4 years ago when I first tried Blue Point’s Blueberry Ale and loved it, the beer that sent me off on this quest to try as many beers as possible, I would have said that this was just as good. However, this isn’t the mind altering experience that was my first fruit beer. That philosophical aspect, to me, is worth a point or two. jason (1623), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA

Flavor is tart with light blackberry, sweetened sugary taste. Light mouthfeel. I enjoyed this more than I expected to.
