Commercial Description:
Light, crisp and refreshing, Blackbeary Wheat is modeled after the spontaneously fermented "Lambics" of Belgium. Real blackberries added to the fermentation contribute a subtle fruitiness to this Summer Quencher! Available May through August.

12 oz bottle. Pours a medium yellow color. Aroma is not very noticeable, maybe a hint of berry ? Actually tastes pretty good. Thicker than their regular hefeweizen and really crisp, although I don’t taste the blackberry. Underrated.

Bottle. Pours a pale yellow with a fizzy white head. The aroma iis crisp and citrusy with a slight hint of berries. The flavor is a standard light wheat beer with again, a slight berry taste. A clean, crisp finish rounds this brew out nicely.

I feel as though this would be a great summer offering, but due to its astringency and lack of body, it is lacking in my book. There is the perfect amount of blackberry- a hint but not overpowering. These are nice and light- could drink them all night. Just not in love with the flavour.

12oz bottle, bottled 9/11/07. pours clear yellow with a small white head. Mild grain and blackberry aroma. Flavor is wheaty, with some berry, malt and grain. Theres are some metallic and chalky notes that are difficult to characterize.

Bottle. Pours a light yellow with a malty aroma - not a lot of fruit. Taste has a bit of berry taste with a bit of malt. Pretty bland taste.
