Commercial Description:
Light, crisp and refreshing, Blackbeary Wheat is modeled after the spontaneously fermented "Lambics" of Belgium. Real blackberries added to the fermentation contribute a subtle fruitiness to this Summer Quencher! Available May through August.

bottle poured into glass, alchol suprisingly low, little flavor. Not enough sedimentation, beer is too clear, smells like a crappy lager with about as much flavor.

bottle 2007, have had this many times on tap and it is much tastier. pours golden with light carbonation, smells of blackberries. Have been drinking this for several years, it’s refreshing on a hot summer day.

(12 oz. bottle) pours a very light clear yellow. slight berry aroma and aftertaste. no wheat body or taste. the palate is extremely watery. there’s really not much else to it. tastes like a macro light lager with a slight blackberry edge. if you don’t want all that "flavor" getting in the way of your drunkeness, give this one a go. otherwise, pass.

Fluffy white head and a carbonated pale body that looks more like a lager than a wheat beer. Smells pretty much like the fruits that give it its flavour. The taste is pretty much of blackberry and of really bready wheat beer. I didn’t think this was too bad.

This is pretty light and crisp but it does not have the typical body of a wheat beer. The texture surely is much lighter. As for the blackberry, I enjoy when it is just a hint but this is almost non-existant in a bad way. I am not getting much on the nose or the mouthfeel.

This reminds me of Blue Moon Honey in the way that it’s basically a Budweiser base with a bit of fruit flavor. Pretty much garbage.

I was not impressed with this. There was a hint of blackberry in the aroma. It poured a light yellow and was crystal clear. A slight hint of blackberry in the taste. No spices to be found. It is very watery on the tongue. Not what I expected.

On tap at JP’s Pub. Mild wheat aroma with good notes of blackberry juice, though more of a fake fruit aroma. Pale yellow clear with thin head. Light bodied with light-medium carbonation. A very mild ale. Light American wheat profile though not citrusy or overly bitter as some can be. Nice berry flavor, with clean mild fruity finish. Mild carbonic tang. Watery but refreshing. Good warm weather quaff.
