Nose is sort of reminiscent of nail polish, might be acetone, with light bg berries. Taste is smooth, light wheat and fruitiness. No bitterness, just a strand-of-grain wheat painting. Smooth and light but not watery. Lightly jammy. Extremely inoffensive, though a little too sweet, but man, for a hot day of baseball watching or lawn mowing, this is one hell of a chugging beer. porterhouse (1158), Alna, Maine, USA

Looks much like a pale lager. Aroma of light candy-like sweet berries and some light wheat malt. Mouthfeel is kind of dryish and prickly, slightly wooden. Flavor is sort of sweet and lightly berryish, perhaps along the lines of a fruit-flavored seltzer water. Ehh, it’s pretty bland. HeadieNugget (15), Pennsylvania, USA

| 0.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Aug 20, 2009 Pours clear very very pale yellow color with minimal fizzy white head that quickly dissapears. Aroma is very faint, almost nonexistent of sprite mixed with berries. Flavor is way overcarbonated, kinda stale, very very watery, slightly metallic, with a very faint berry flavor. Dry finish. Overall, not good. caresville (106), Vernon, New Jersey, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 26, 2009 A solid fruit beer. While Sam Adams produced a crappy blackberry beer, Long Trail’s version is quite good. Slight aroma of blackberries coupled with a subtle yet noticable blackberry taste. It is neither overpowering nor nonexistent. Finishes as a normal wheat beer would. I would buy a 6 pack of this. Gabler (86), , New York, USA

One of my favorite things about the summer(although they brew this year round now) is this beer. I find it to be one of the easiest drinking, tastiest, non-filling, refreshing beers out there. Nothing like it on a hot summer day..nothing. Pours like a pale lager, aroma is not overdone but just enough berry on the nose. Flavor is the same. Light bodied and superiorly refreshing. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 18, 2009 Fruit beers, I’ve found, are really hit-or-miss. This one hits the target but it’s nowhere near the bullseye. The blackberry flavor is weak; the beer is light and refreshing. My search for the perfect fruit beer continues...
