Commercial Description:
Light, crisp and refreshing, Blackbeary Wheat is modeled after the spontaneously fermented "Lambics" of Belgium. Real blackberries added to the fermentation contribute a subtle fruitiness to this Summer Quencher! Available May through August.

Pours light gold with little to no head. Smells like a berry soda. It has a simple wheat flavor with a slight berry ending. The finish is dry and smooth.

(Rating #566)

Bottle, from Julio’s Bottled 4/26/06. Ok nose, sweet. Blackberry & wheat, duh. Clean golden yellow color, small head that faded quickly, no lacing. Bitterish sweet flavor. Not a sweet blackbeery overall, more like wild blackberry as if you eat them and get lots of seed. A little of a sharp, sort of grapefruity, but not really, bite to it. Lite body, thin creamy mouthfeel, sweet dry finish. Easy to drink, but I didn’t like the way the blackbeery came of as seedy

Eh, I usually like most of the long trail beers, but this left an unpleasant aftertaste in my mouth. It was kind of hot today, and it was cold, so it had that going for it.

This beer is disgusting. It tastes of artificial flavors, and I had too sips and poured it out. I would not try this beer, period.

I do not know why I keep doing this to myself All these wheat infused with syrup beers taste like soda beer. This one wasn’t any better. I know they could do a better job (i.e. Blue Point Blueberry). By the way how exactly is this modeled after lambics. By that logic B ot the E is also modeled after lambics. Damn you Vermont, I have had enough of you and your sucky-ass fruit flavored beers, damn you hippies.

12oz bottle. Pours a pale golden color with a thin fizzy white head. Nose is sweet berrys and light wheat. Palate is very thin and fizzy. Flavor is water and concentrated berry juice.
