Light, crisp and refreshing, Blackbeary Wheat is modeled after the spontaneously fermented "Lambics" of Belgium. Real blackberries added to the fermentation contribute a subtle fruitiness to this Summer Quencher! Available May through August.

Light straw color with small white head. Looks like a Bud. Has a strong nose of berrie. Taste is too light, with too little malt, with an excess of floral hops, and really no compleixty.

[draft at MacGregor’s - Henrietta, NY] Pale yellow color with a thin white head. Slightly stale aroma of wheat, grain and a touch of blackberries. The flavor is very weak. Mostly dry wheat flavor with the slightest hint of berries at the end. I think I’ll pass on this one in the future.

Had this at the Flour City Brew Fest. Strong aroma of Blackberries which was more potent than the Blackberry flavor. It’s a nice and refreshing summer beer.

Had at the Rohrbach’s summer brew fest. Blackberry aroma, blackberries in the body. Very light beyond that but I enjoyed this as a refreshing change of pace.

Poured a clear pale yellow with a thin white head. Aroma reminded me of blueberries more than black but then again I don’t know if there is a difference in their smell. Also some notes of cardboard. Flavors of lemons and berry jam.

From draft. Pale clear yellow body with lots of carbonation. Thin white head. Berry aroma and flavor of blackberries. What do you know? Not a bad summer/fruit beer, but a full glass was more than I needed.

Bottle - thanks to Goldtwins. Pale straw yellow pour. Faint blackberry aroma. Bigger wheat and blackberry flavors, but it came across weak.

They did a decent job with the blackberries, but the beer itself is boring and insipid. Pale, clear gold with an ok head. Nice, subtle fruitiness. Weak flavor and body. Clean, but bland other than the light touch of the berries.
