Light, crisp and refreshing, Blackbeary Wheat is modeled after the spontaneously fermented "Lambics" of Belgium. Real blackberries added to the fermentation contribute a subtle fruitiness to this Summer Quencher! Available May through August.

Aroma right away is fruit and sweetness. Taste is light on the wheat and sweet fruit. Odd flavor at times, almost medicinal. Not great.

Bottle. This is one of those beers that pours an almost white yellow with a hissing fizz that leaves little head. Aromas are very weak... just a hint of fruit and old wheat. In the time that it took to type that the head has completely disappeared. Flavor is a watery blackberry and wheat combination that has been heavily filtered. Not very impressive, not very asserting and not very likely to try again.

Draft and bottles. Multiple tastings. (previous tastings from memory) Tasted this as part of a sampler at the brewpub. Wasn’t really all that into this one but I’m generally not a fan of this style anyway.

Very light golden color, good carbonation. Aroma was weak, of wheat and very little blackberry. Flavor was fairly strong of blackberry, sweet and wheaty. Refreshing and light.

Not really feeling this one from LT. Blackberries come right through, too strong with the malt though.

12oz bottle. Very light amber color with a white head and decent head retention. The smell was a little weak but the blackberry came through with some hops and malt. Smooth and balanced taste of light blackberry. Good carbonation and fruity feeling. Pretty refreshing, but could have been better.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color with a white head. The aroma was fruit and sweet malts. The flavor was fruity berries to begin...overly sweet watered down dishwater to end. Not a fan.
