epf33 (197), Fairfax, Virginia, USA Mar 23, 2008 very interesting, berry isn’t too overwhelming, neither is the wheat, definitely not a winter brew
Rciesla (1580), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Dec 24, 2008 Bottle at erics. Pours a pale body with a thin white head. Blueberry or berry extract. thin and simple no etoh or hop character. Simple and enjoyable, well maybe i wasnt looking for a second bottle. thornecb (1290), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Dec 22, 2008 Pours clear gold into a tumbler. Bright white head with excellent retention leaves spider lacing as it recedes to skim surfaced. Berry, marshmallow and stale malt aromas. Crisp with blackberries and sour malts. Dry lasting berry finish. Powertrip (85), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Dec 19, 2008 Not much of a nose....lacking substance and depth. I wanted fruit and rich wheat but it just was not there. Better in the mouth though. The blackberry comes through with a firm sutle stance, followed by well balanced hops and lingering prairie wheat. Slightly hoppy on the finish, and soft in the mouth. DrDavid (669), Johnson, Vermont, USA Dec 2, 2008 Updated: Dec 3, 2008Bottle. Sweet aroma, definite traces of berry. Pale yellow body, small head. Mild and refreshing flavor, with blackberry. Overall not at all unpleasant, but not much of a memorable impression. matt7215 (653), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada Nov 19, 2008 355 ml bottle from a mixed sixer given to me by my dad. pours pale yellow with a quick white head. aromas are berryish with a touch of grain. the flavour is blackberry based with some american wheat ale aspects. this one is very thin and lacking any sort of memorable qualities. it might be ok as a summer thirst quensher but it did nothing for me tonight.
