Style; glass: Imperial Stout; Snifter 22 fl oz x 8% ABV = 176 / 60 = 2.93 beers * 150 C = 439.50 calories (est.) Purchased at:Canal’s Burlington, NJ for $3.50 A delicious, dark roasted coffee, cocoa, and espresso imperial stout with a deep opaque body topped with a dark tan head. Syrupy, sticky, and like dessert. A decadent treat.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Dark black beer with a thin dark tan head. Aroma is really intense and lovely. Loads of rich sweet coffee aroma. A bit of cocoa and even a hint of smoke as well. Chewy and roasty with a lovely soft sweetness. Lightly fruity through the middle, a touch of sweet nuttiness and a lingering roastiness. Intensely coffeeish but without being vegetal as well. Man, these guys rocked this style.

Pours jet black with a huge thick creamy malted milkshake colored head.... Aroma of caramel, hazelnut, coffee, alcohol, quite a bit of hazelnut actually.... Flavor is bitter coffee, a touch of chocolate, a bit of hazelnut, and a touch of unfortunate genericness... Body is strange in that it is a touch thinner than expected yet alcoholy... Nice beer, but i dont think it holds up to the big boys...

solid coffee stout. It’s got some smokey taste to it and a good roasty taste as well. The main story with this beer is it costs 3.50, tastes great and gives you 8% abv. It’s a recession people and this might be the best bang for your buck mix of alcohol and actual quality I have ever seen

Pours a dark mud with a deep tan head. Aroma is of licorice, coffee, chocolate. Mouthfeel is surprisingly thin. Taste is some sweet coffee at the front, some burnt barley in the middle and then a smoky chocolate finish. Not one of my favorites. This one needs some additional sweetness, and more in the way of complexity and balance. Not sure of the high rating, maybe the low price had something to do with it?

Bottle… Pre-C&P’sLYFO Throwdown… Pitch black ale with a small, creamy, beige head. The nose presents ground coffee, hickory smoke and an herbal undertone. Medium to full-bodied with nearly-expired carbonation. The flavor provides coffee, chocolate and a whisper of mint. Minerally, roasty finish.

22oz. Bottle: Lightly sweet aroma of chocolate, coffee, slight bitter coffee, light roasted and burnt malts, and a hint of caramel. Poured black in color with a small light brown head that lasted as a film on top of the beer. Opaque. Sparkling. Ok lacing. Flavor is light to medium sweet. Tastes of lightly bitter coffee, Hershey’s chocolate syrup, sweet malts, light cream, light piney hops, and some sugar. Medium body. Slightly thin, silky texture. Soft carbonation. Sweet, sugary, coffee finish is slightly chalky.
