(bottle - 22 oz) Dark oil black color with a thin brown head. Aroma is rich and roasted with lots of coffee flavors. Flavor is incredibly roasted and smooth. Lots of roasted coffee notes with a bit of cream. The alcohol is well hidden and blends very well. Smooth and lightly bitter. Really nice.

2009-05-02. Black with a foamy brown head. Aroma is surprisingly restrained, dry dark roast and notes of both malt and coffee. (6+) Flavour is similarly dry, moderate roast throughout, sweet malt base. Bitterness of the roast, and coffee balances things. Coffee grows as the glass goes on as it warms up. (6+) Average plus palate. (3+) Bottle from Premier Gourmet, Buffalo.

22oz bottle. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, and grain. Taste is huge on the coffee up front. Straight up dirty coffee beans, chocolate, roasted malt, smoke, and grain. The whole beer tastes extremely earthy with lots of coffee beans, bitter chocolate, and earthy grain. Lingering earthy grain taste. Finish is all coffee. Mouthfeel was surprisingly light, yet very sharp. I definitely enjoyed this beer.
