Poured hazy gold with a thin white head. Aroma of grapefruit and pine. Citrusy flavor upfront with some pine and finished boozy. Kind of thin for a double but not a bad price.

Bottle sampled on 7/26/09: Pours a transparent deep golden with a frothy well-lacing white head. Aroma of fresh grassy piny hops and sweet pale maltiness. Starts with good fullness and sweet lightly caramely malts with a fresh grapefruity resiny hop flavor before a drier bittersweet crisp finish. A pretty well-balanced and enjoyable double IPA.

Earthy hops, almost like dirt/manure, flowers, grapefruit. The color is amber, but slightly less red than a normal IIPA. The flavor is very nice, grapefruit hops, earthy, caramel backbone, but not as much as you’d expect from this style. Nice thick, chewy, syrupy mouthfeel. Finishes mostly citrsu hop bitter. Finish is one of the better parts. Fairly solid IIPA, but not in the realm of greatness.

Bottle courtesy of KMoonLegend. Pour is deep orange/yellow clearly unfiltered with tons of floaters and cloudiness towards the bottom of the bottle - awesome! Nose is tangerine hop. Flavor is tangerine, citrus, pine. Finishes very bitter, but not over the top. Outstanding IPA and possibly tied with there Porter for the best LT offering. Brewmaster Series has been excellent IMO. They are priced well below there constituents too, around 4 bucks, I believe.
