Bottle. Pours black with a small light tan head. Aroma of wood, roasted malt, bitter hops. Flavor of parmesean cheese, roasted malt, some smoke. Hmm, I just didn’t find this beer very complex or interesting. It was just an average porter for me, mediocre at best. 6/4/6/3/11 [3.0/5]

Bottle. Aroma of milk, smoke, chocolate, hops. Flavor metallic, charred, oddly bitter. A bit chalky. Medium body. Guess I’m against the grain on this one.

Bottle. Pours dark brown, with a tan head. Aroma is chocolate, hops, coffee, and malt. Flavor is chocolate, hops, smoke, coffee, caramel, and alcohol. Medium body. A good one, but more hops here than would prefer.

22oz. bomber, with thanks to j12601 for the great bonus! Pours a little lighter brown with a large fluffy tan head that leaves great lacing. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, coffee, and roasty malts. Flavor is some bittersweet chocolate, coffee, caramel and some ripe dark fruits. Very easy drinking and enjoyable, and enough complexity to be interesting without going overboard. LT sure seems to be doing some good stuff up there in VT, thanks again Jay!

Bottle. Dark brown/black with small beige head. Aroma of toffee, toast, chocolate, and smoke. Flavors of toffee, toast, tobacco and chocolate. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Big body but not too sticky. Assertive and not pretentious. Wonderful.

22 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with a 1/2" creamy beige head. Aroma is light coffee, roasted malt and dark chocolate. Full bodied with a smooth, silky palate. Flavor mimics the aroma, not much to add there. Nice, enjoyable porter.

bottle courtesy of daknole, thanks again homie! pours a thick dark brown/black with a very nice medium brown head that has very nice retention. nose has heavy notes of roasty, bitter coffee complimented my those of sweet, toasted malt. just the slightest touches of hops and wood are present. nice well rounded taste, tons of smoke, coffee, cocoa, a lil chicory, nice. body and palate are grear, that nice full creamy mouthfeel upfront, vanishing to a light body in back with a tad more dryness coming out. long trail has yet to disappoint!

Bottle that inexplicably showed up at the local PA bottle shop... once again creating an air of mystery in our distribution system. Pours a medium brown... it looks fairly dark in the glass, but reddens right up in front of the light and was a lot lighter as it poured. Head is thin but very dense. Aromas are very nice... lots of chocolate with some resin and a little bourbon or something alcoholy. Flavor is a bit thin... there is a pretty good chocolate presence, but it seems to disappear mid-palate. A little alcholic warmth, a tobacco like bitterness, and some resiny hops in the finish.
