Bottle. Nice copper color, low tanish head. Malty aroma, nutty, caramel. Flavor is nice but alcohol is too present. Nice malt, with caramel and nuts, a touch more hops than usual for the style, though less than an Uerige. Nice, malty beer but too strong alcohol taste.

At 7%, much stronger than I expected. I found the other LTs in this sixer quite smooth and refreshing. Tho altbiery, this is more like a style of strong something; lager or ale. Candy aroma. Looks like a brown oranger transparent beer, somewhat off pale yellow. Barely any carbonation in the glass. Too much for my girlie taste buds. In your face alt, if that is what it is? Medicine stronger alky biting finish, does not hide its alky content well. Smell is only value above average. Probably would be liked by the IPA and impy stout lovers.

Pours amber/red with as mall 1/8 off white head. Aromas of floral hops dominate. First taste is way smooth and much less hoppy than the aroma indicated. There are a couple of favors at work here that I cannot easily identify. Is it smoke? Oak chips? Overall not a bad beer.

A nice middle of the road and easy to drink altbier. Aroma was dark malt and a little fruity. Pour was a nice deep dark amber with a one finger near tan head that left quickly. Taste was nice and full but not very lasting. Mostly dark malt with a thin dark fruit taste coming through the middle. Decent carbonation and wet sticky dark malt finish. First beer from this brewer and am not impressed but not disappointed.

12oz Bottle. Pours a brownish amber color with a off white head. Aroma of hops. Strong malt flavor, with a semi caramel flavor. This beer really surprised me, got a six pack and wasn’t able to rate it the first time since I enjoyed drinking them too much. Great beer, highly recommended, the best from Long Trail I have experienced.

Amber with almost no head. The aroma is malty and sweet with some dark fruit. But it’s not interesting. Actually this sort of sucks.

355 mL bottle. Amber-brown with a small, short-lived head, which still manages to leave good lacing. Malty aroma with American hops, caramel and nuts. Flavour is the same, with an added earthy tone. Some hops show up at the end. Alcohol is well hidden until the beer warms. Crisp. for such a dark, strong beer. Nice.
