355 mL bottle. Amber-brown with a small, short-lived head, which still manages to leave good lacing. Malty aroma with American hops, caramel and nuts. Flavour is the same, with an added earthy tone. Some hops show up at the end. Alcohol is well hidden until the beer warms. Crisp. for such a dark, strong beer. Nice.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz. bottle into a pint glass. It had a deep copper color with visible carbonation and nice clarity. The head was thin, light tan in color and faded fast leaving spotty bubbles on top of the liquid. A small amount of lace was left on the glass. The aroma had a sweet malty character with caramel notes and mild hops. On the tongue there is a thick sweet malt presence with sweet biscuit and caramel notes. The sweetness is balanced nicely by a strong herbal and leafy hops that seems to take over by the finish. The finish is slow and the flavor seems to stick on the tongue. It has a medium body with a creamy smooth texture and carbonation is active yet very mild. It is a strong beer with bold flavor. Very well done!

Good beer. Bottle, amber pour and hardly any head at all. Yeast, stone fruit, malt and apple cider on the nose. Flavor is very malty and has a fair hop bite as well. Creamy and tasty.

Draft at Rupununi’s. My first impression of this beer was that is was all booze and bitter. But by the end of the glass, I found enough malts to believe there were some in the beer. Still, the balance was off. Dark amber body with a short head. The aroma was lightly malty with notes of caramel and bread. Floral hops are more noticable. The flavor is lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Heavy taste of alcohol in the finish along with a lingering bitterness. The medium body has a lively carbonation and a thin texture.

Bottle from 46er3498. Thanks man! Pours a golden amber with a nice lasting head. Aroma of sweet fruit cake, caramel and light hops. Light fruit cake sweetness with a touch of tartness in the finish and a light noticeable alcohol. A nice altbier.

Dark amber with a tan head, well-balanced flavors. A very surprising treat.

(Bottle). Definite green apples aroma. Nice amber color, small head. Crisp flavor, malts, apples, some nuts. A very lengthy balanced finished. Satisfying ale.
