Bottle as a bones from 46er3498, pours attractive ruddy brown with decent cream colored head. Malt and bready nose with flavor to match, along with a bit of caramel. Pretty good stuff.

Pours into the glass a nice copper color with a white head. Aroma reminds me somewhat of cognac without the sting. Flavor is sharply sweet at first but with a nice hop resistance. This is my first altbier to try, but I find the dramatic split between the sweet and the bitter somewhat strange. Neither really offsets each other, just happens at different times.

bottle, a very solid tasting easy to find beer. A lot of malt but nothing to really balance the malt. Still the malt taste was great. Tasty I like this one a lot I would buy it again

Pours a light amber brown. This is a sweet, malty, smooth, easy to drink brew that is not all that complex. Despite going down easy, I just couldn’t get into this beer, perhaps for lack of any hop character or interesting blend.

As soon as I poured it I was excited to taste this beer. The aroma gave a great preview of the flavors that make it tough to put the glass down. The alcohol becomes more apparent as it warms, but it is still easy to finish.

Had at the brewery and it was the best of their line. The aroma was sweet and malty. It was well balanced and a bit creamy on taste and you picked up the carmel again. At the end a little bit of the alcohol came through. I enjoyed this one.

Aroma has a distinct green apple peel element that follows through to a lesser extent in the flavor. Aside from that slight weirdness, a pretty solid brew. Good hops and malt balance.
