In short: A big Altbier. Big and sweet for the style but still very drinkable. Enjoyable.
How: Bottle 22oz
The look: Clear redish-coppper body topped by a very small off-white head
In long: Nose of sweet red fruits, candies, crème-caramel and aromatic flowers. Body is rather full and carbonation is comfortably relaxed. A lot of dried fruits, citrus, some hard-candies and quite a bit of smooth caramel. A hefty dose of floral hops really juice up the beer and distracts from the sweetness. Very clean. Really nice how the fruity sweetness and floral juiciness blend in nicely. Probably the best Long Trail I’ve had. If all long trails would be that nice Americans would look like those we see on the tv shows and wouldn’t be so fat after all that hiking

Interesting, but very buttery aroma. Tastes oxidized and weird. Some nice sweetness with a good hop backbone, but I don’t think I’d have another.

Bottle thanks to jah noth. Pours amber in color with a quickly diminishing white head. Aromas of sweet malts, caramel, vanilla, and some fruit notes. Flavors up front are sweet malts, also a bit fruity. Finish is moderately hoppy and bitter.

A nice and smooth, strong brew. Has hints of malts and hops. Nice dark gold/light brown color. Tastes of of smooth malts with very light hops. Not too much carbonation in this brew which is a very pleasant attribute. Has a nice easy and smooth aftertaste. This is great brew from Long Trail. Good job guys.

POured a dark amvber to brown color with an off white head. Aroma was really malty and caramel with notes of alcohol. Flavor was also very malty not much hops here at all, hints of metallic and alcohol flavor that is hard to get over.

Pours amber with a thick off white head. Caramel malt molasses and a hint of hop aroma. Nice malty body with a good earthy hop bitterness. Solid version of an Alt.
