This offering from Long Trail pours a deep red clear with a thin head off-white. The nose is caramel, nutty, faint hop presence that continues sweet with a strong floural and fruit background. The taste is somewhat bitter with a strong hop citrus rind bitterness. The mouthfeel then moves to a malty sweet caramel, maple syrup balancing act that finishes somewhat tart in nature. This is a quality session brew one that you can drink all day.

Has a nice smooth malty taste with a very slight burnt aroma. some bitterness and hops on the palate. Nice head that hangs on. Not bad.

Clear copper body topped by small beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, toasted caramel. Mouthfeel is thin. Taste is mild sweet, some caramel but it’s dominated by solid earthy bitterness. Leaves a bitterness on the tongue. Overall a non-offensive, but not very special beer.

(bottle - 12 oz) Clear orange/amber color with about a half inch of lasting white head. Sweet and malty aroma with some hints of caramel at the end. The taste is very sweet and caramelly with a nice malty middle and a crisp yet slightly bitter finish. Medium bodied and very tasty.

Poured an amber color with a small, light tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus fruits, copper, nuts, and sweet caramel malt. Taste was predominantly malty, caramel, brown sugar, some light diactyl, citrus fruitiness, and a long bitter finish.

One bottle received in a trade with JB. DArk brown with almost no head. Somewhat smooth with a slightly sweet malty flavor. Bitter ending I did not enjoy.

Bear American Gothic? A fine easy drinking ale. Nothing remarkable, but a good session.

White head, very bubbly with a body that is deep ruby in color. The beer is thicker than an ale, but not stout-like. A citrus flowery flavor greets the pallet that also offers a vague coffee ending. Very subtle hops quality.
