Good local regular times drink a good amount o beer but not drinkin lots of crappy cheap beer kind of thing. (some bottles in the 6 pack tastes worse, more plain & sour than the others) willblake (2180), Belcamp, Maryland, USA

Attractive pour, copper-amber with lasting, small beige head of fine bubbles. Aroma is sweet and malty with white toast, caramel candy wrapped in plastic, and ladles of diacetyl. Great, I bought a 6-pack of this and it’s a butter bomb. I try to take it in stride and tell myself it’s an English style ale, that some butter is acceptable. I’m fairly convinced and take a sip. Body is thin, slightly dry, moderately bitter, and diacetyl from middle to back. Lingering butter not only on finish but retronasal. I must be super sensitive to the stuff. I’ve got to say though, as butter bombs go, this is one of the more palateable I’ve tried. Definitely drinkable and balanced once I can get past the butter, this is a passable session brew. Aroma of hay, malts and maybe some slight pine hop. Flavor is hay, pretzels, slight hop bitterness and some roasty malts. A decent tasting fall beer, nothing too special though. tatt (4), Vermont, USA does not count | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Oct 14, 2005 Great tasting beer for the fall. Nice color, and a good head. Long Trail is a local company here, and I expect they will continue putting out a very good beer.

Lightly bitter (less than some of their others I’ve tried), light body, soft carbonation. It’s a good fall beer to mix in with the marzens. 5000 (2429), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 7, 2005 Bottle: Translucent amber, moderate off-white foamy head, fairly nice lacing, light carbonation.   Looks tasty.   Soft grainy nose, not much else.   Malty start, not terribly thick, at least moreso malty than grainy (better than the nose).   Very minor sweetness.   Body and mouthfeel are average, but its bordering on the thin side.   Fairly clean finish, but most of the flavor has left the building.   Decent beer, just needs to be a bit more flavorful.   Thanks Dan!
