Pours a translucent cola color with a small head.Aroma has some malts on it and a slight nut undertone.A real smooth easy drinking beer.Nothing special here. The finish had not log lasting effects.

Pours a crystal clear brown with minimal crème head. Nose is unusual. A part of me wants to say it smells like the butter that amasses in those bags of microwave popcorn. I take a more observant whiff and it seems like those Danish cookies you always get in the cans at Christmas time. Apparently I am all about the snacks today. Flavor is tangy, and a bit too much so. Has some hearty and earthy aspects, but that zing just overpowers it too much I say. Good feel, but a bit thin. Overall this is decent at best I have to say. Well made, yes. But the almost citric tang that yells a bit too loud just doesn’t do it for me and ends up killing the experience.

this is a nice dark, sweet beer. It’s very smooth and slides down your throat effortlessly. A real good beer. I wish the alcohol content were available, but I belive it’s fairly low. If I find it pushes the 6-7% area I’ll come back and raise my overall rating. til then ....3.1 it is.

(Bottle (stamped "08/06/07") from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/maine/wiscasset target=blank>Treats) Dull...Pours clear coppery amber with a biege head. Aroma is mostly malty, notes of vanilla and egg, maybe some very light pine. Mouthfeel is, as advertised, quite smooth, along with small amount of prickliness. Decent, droopy rings of lacing. Flavor is kind of malty but not nearly as rich as aroma led me to anticipate. Weak, wooden, dull notes of egg, vanilla and maybe brown sugar. Pretty much a dud.

Long Trail doesn’t lie, this is a pretty smooth beer, but overall, it’s pretty weak. Nothing really stands out and for my money it’s overpriced. In my opinion, this is the weakest of the Long Trail family.

12 oz bottle. Clear dark amber with a small beige head that disappeared as fast as it appeared. Lightly toasty malt nose, a bit nutty, something metallic - uh oh. Fortunately, the metallic tinge does not seem to show in the flavor, which is a Very mild, lightly sweet caramel and a bit of earthy bitter. Very blah. Finish is a very mild earthy bitter. Very "whatever".

12oz bottle-pours a light tan head and copper/amber color. Aroma is medium malt, faint medium fruit. Taste is medium malt-some sweet, secondary spice/earthy hops, faint medium fruit, some roasty. Light side of medium body. Easy drinking. OK carbonation. Thanks jwc215 for sharing.

Pours a clear deep amber/brown colour with a whispy white head that fades entirely. The aroma is of muted sweet malts that resemble light fruits and mild caramel. The aroma is almost medicinal and totally lacking of depth. The flavour is equally as subtle and lacks the hop presence I was looking for in a harvest ale. The malts are unpleasantly sweet with some nuts and a very mild bitterness. The palate duration was extremely short and the body was thin. I guess it’s drinkable though, for whatever thats worth.
