| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 16, 2007 Smells of pureed banana with minimal yeast. Pours an opaque clouded platinum-orange. Minimum head. Tastes of rich banana puree and weak yeast. A weak, yet sharp palate. This could actually be a great mass market brew, if advertised as "tropical." steelers37 (62), little ferry, New Jersey, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 11, 2007 Pours murky orange with a very small white head. Strong, sweet aroma of banana, yeast, and just a hint of spice. Semi-sweet watery/somewhat artificial banana upfront, with a slight tropical fruit undertone, yeast throughout, and just a hint of lemony citrus and spice in the finish. Palate is thin and dry, with a bit of lingering spice. Not too bad, refreshing, but not much balance, and artificial feeling. jkoch (41), USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 9, 2007 Banana armoa and flavor is way too strong, and seems artificial. Tastes like the banana flavoring in a banana popsicle. The beer isn’t all bad though. It’s refreshing and easy to drink. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 1, 2007 Bottle. Poured a cloudy amber with a white frothy head which diminshed fairly promptly. Assertive aroma of overripe banana. Overly sweet wheat and banana flavors, with a slight lemony tartness in the back. Kind of thin in the mouthfeel. One-dimensional and basically uninteresting. boojummy (50), Medford, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 27, 2007 My girlfriend handed this beer to me in a glass-- and without knowing what it was, I said "Weird, this tastes like a hefeweizen." (having thought that it was going to be some kind of IPA) Sure enough, it was. So, unlike many American hefe’s I’ve tried before, this tastes pretty much like the real deal. Not a watery "wheat beer". Aroma is yeasty in a big way-- it reminds me of a homebrew. The head is a little out of control, though. All three of these I’ve had so far have had head so voluminous, I’ve needed to stop and wait a few minutes to pour (very gently!) again. Color is about right-- a hazy yellow-orange. The flavor seems "fresher" than most hefeweizens I’ve had. Whether this is because I’m not drinking a bottle that had to be shipped from Europe or because Americans tend to like their beers hoppier, I don’t know. The beer has a certain spiciness that is uncharacteristic of hefeweizens-- more like a wit-- but the estery yeast flavor is spot on, and there’s a bit of a lemony zing to the beer as well that lasts well into the aftertaste. I’m guessing that they added lemon since most Americans wouldn’t know to serve this brew with a lemon slice. Anyway, not quite the real thing, but pretty close, and I wouldn’t mind at all having this one again. blinesam (233), USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 16, 2007 tastes like a cheap, poor quality hefe, smells like rotten bananas and has about the same taste. I dont want to rail on this beer too much because it is pretty refreshing but not my cup of brew. blklab2007 (975), Connecticut, USA
