Commercial Description:
Here is our "Wheat Beer with Yeast." Beers brewed with a high proportion of wheat yield a crisp and refreshing flavor profile, while the addition of our special yeast adds a blend of complex citrus and spice flavors...forget the lemon wedge, this Hef' has plenty of flavor!

Sampled this one at the brewery in Bridgewater Corners,VT. I would have to say that this is my favorite Long Trail offering so far. Nice color, aroma, & head. The taste was well above-average for an American Hefe. The banana comes through nicely, but not overpowering. Just a hint of citrus. Very refreshing on a warm spring day in the VT countryside. If you ever find yourself in central Vermont, do yourself a huge favor, and stop by & visit the friendy folks at Long Trail. You’ll be glad you did.

Thin white head of fine bubbles. Minimal carbonation. Nice aroma with a bit of bready malts, some pineapple, sweet candy and spices. Color is a medium golden orange. Light and refreshing with more fruit flavors (banana) , light spices and crisp wheat notes. Finishes clean and slightly dry. A pretty good heffe. Not a great representation of the style but still good.

Cloudy pale golden coloured body with a light white head. Aroma of fresh wheat, stale hops, curacao and a tiny bit of spices. Light to Medium-bodied; Strongish wheat flavours roam with some fresh hops and light sugar as well. Aftertaste shows more malt and some sweetness along with a bit of the fresh hops. Overall, a decent wheat, nothing special - but good from the brewery in my opinion. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York on 19-May-2007 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Bottle (12oz). Hazy pale gold, small fizzy white head. (artificial) Banana - that’s about it, maybe sugar and light spice. Tastes like grainy banana bread that’s been blended with an unflavoured carbonated vodka cooler - not awful, but pretty bleah. Watery, thin body, not much carbonation, but it still stings a bit, sweet and harsh aftertaste. Pretty lame effort, really.

Pours a hazy light orange colour with a thick white. The smell is of intensely strong artificial banana flavoring that most resembles banana Laffy Taffy. There are plenty of flavours, but not flavours I want in a good hefe. The mouthfeel was too thin, almost watery. The banana really ruins this one. They had something going with the yeast, but that banana turns this hefe into a mess.

This beer has an alright pour and head to it. the smell was of fruit and mild hops. The taste is the candy banana and some hops not to complex in taste. It is very watery for a weat beer not my favorite one but it is decent.

Bottle sampled with Beerded_one. Pours hazy golden with an average size white head. Aroma of bananas and spices. The flavor is slight banana, spices, and a little trace of hops in the finish. Not a bad brew, but it doesn’t stack up to the better German Hefeweizens i have sampled.
