Commercial Description:
Here is our "Wheat Beer with Yeast." Beers brewed with a high proportion of wheat yield a crisp and refreshing flavor profile, while the addition of our special yeast adds a blend of complex citrus and spice flavors...forget the lemon wedge, this Hef' has plenty of flavor!

(12oz bottle, stamped 06/26/07) Hazy light apple cider body topped by medium off-white head that mostly diminishes. Aroma is medium sweet, banana, clove, light lemon/lime. Taste is medium sweet, clove, some seltzer water, lime. Watery light body.

12oz bottle-pours a white head and gold color. Aroma is clove, honey, citrus, light malt, as this warms, some banana comes through. Taste is clove, honey, citrus, light malt/wheat, faint light/spicy hops. Light/medium body. Mild carbonation.

Any first impressions?
-A voluminous ring of foam forever crowns the shiny golden haze.
-Booming banana esters are soon reduced to minty, clovey spiciness and dryness in the nose.
-Mild banana sweetness and hay-like, crunchy wheat character timidly converse.
-The fizzy carbonation almost overcomes the lean maltiness.

What if you dig deeper?
-Clovey phenols develop nicely throughout, playing with the dry yeastiness.
-The aftertaste is reclusive and yeasty, a little too dry and characterless for my tastes in the style.
-Carbonation’s slightly too active, exposing the beer’s relative thinness.
-Nothing special to be found here, just an easy-drinking weizen for those days when you don’t feel like thinking.

Bottle; no date.

Pours orange with a white head. Smells citrussy with some bananas and clove. Tastes of citrus and bananas. More of an American Wheat than a German Hefeweizen.

Bottle from Super Saver. This one was better than the Sweaty Betty. It poured turbid deep gold with a 1-finger frothy off-white head. Aroma of gigantic Bazooka gum, bananas, and the biggest aroma of circus peanuts I have ever encountered! IIt wasn’t very well balanced, but got smoother toward the end, with flvaor components of huge Bazooka gum mixed with a lot of sliced banana over corn flakes and some circus peanuts. I’d buy a sixer of this without hesitation.

12 oz bottle purchased May 2006 at City Market in Burlington VT, served a bit above fridge temperature in a Weihenstephan glass. Murky, translucent dark gold with a typical huge, rocky off-white head that leaves a bit of lace as it dries off quickly....aroma is all Nestles Banana Quick, very very sweet, powdery and somewhat artificial, some hints of caramel, clove and cinnamon if you work for them.....simple, initially quite sweet fruity flavor profile, low carbonation helps make for a rather syrupy mouthfeel....as it warms it becomes increasingly doughy and imbued with sour apples, metallic character and bitter greens....very dull, sweet-sour cidery/lemony finish, rather soda-like. Another misfire from this tired brewery....

Bottle (12oz). Hazy pale gold, small fizzy white head. (artificial) Banana - that’s about it, maybe sugar and light spice. Tastes like grainy banana bread that’s been blended with an unflavoured carbonated vodka cooler - not awful, but pretty bleah. Watery, thin body, not much carbonation, but it still stings a bit, sweet and harsh aftertaste. Pretty lame effort, really.

Bottle 355 ml
Appearance: Clear gold with large fine white top. Should be named Kristal Weizen.3+
Nose: Bubble gum , white sugar , dust with wheat grainy hints. End accented on sugar beet. 5-
Flavor/Palate : Medium bodied with fairly soft character. Sweet raspberry character that is not typical to style. Yeasty notion. One thing is sure this is not German Hefe.
