| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 25, 2008 Pours amber with modest tan head. Aromas were slightly lacking.. mostly just malt and a hint of spice. Flavor wasn’t too much better- not at all complex bitterly astringent hops with a medium malt presence. Good for the price. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 22, 2008 dark brown in color. Nice head nice lace. Taste is sweet, honey, carmel, toffee maybe, but not too strong, doesn’t cloy. Pretty well bablance. I enjoyed this one. blipp (1679), Newark, New Jersey, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 1/5 | 11/20 | Jan 5, 2008 Can def. notice the unfiltered aspects of the beer. Aroma and Appearance. A murky copper color. Flavor is pleasant to start, but a longing aftertaste that requires faster drinking. yobdoog (1460), Woodridge NY, New York, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 3, 2008 So I want to like long trail. I enjoyed Double Bag but this one did not have much flavor at all. Aroma is boring as well as taste. Bland and watery. Clear, so much for unfiltered. efrumtheidiot (190), Maryland, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Dec 31, 2007 pours a nice copper with a white head. nice lacing. aroma is brown sugar, nice malt, a dab of spice and earthy notes with a hint of bourbon. taste is creamy and round with some smokey wood, burnt brown sugar and earth. kind of faint; it has all the niced flavors but they aren’t strong enough. mid-full bodied with a gentle bitterish aftertaste. would be a good addition to a session, but by no means will it knock your socks off. not terrible, but not amazing, and better then most of long trail’s other offerings. mansquito (830), Boston/Philadelphia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 28, 2007 Oh, hmm.... I was actually thinking that this was a brown ale and I suppose it was. Poured on draft at a restaurant, so I don’t know if they got the head right, but it was beige and dissipated into a nice lacing. Muddy brwn body. Sugary malt aroma and taste. Little sweetness. A lot of malts. As earlier reviewer said, not really that complex, bt definitely not that bad either. bigrond (1049), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 27, 2007 this is an easy drinking beer. I dissagree with the commerical description - it is not complex at all. it’s an average beer.
