Pretty good brown ale, but I wouldn’t want to hit the trail after too many of these. Boutip (2371), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 21, 2006 Bottle: Poured a dirty brown color ale with a rather large head with average retention. Aroma of caramel malt with some sweetness. Taste is also dominated by some roasted malt with a nice lingering caramel-like sweetness. Body is just above average with some good carbonation. Better then most standard brown ale out there but nothing to write home about. PBOYNY (316), Westchester, New York, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 1, 2006 Bottle. Nice dark amber body with good carbonation and a thick beige bubbly/foamy head. Decent and well balanced malty/hoppy aroma that carries light oaky and roasty notes. Taste is dominated by hops and ends with an unpleasant paperish and sour finish. Not very exciting. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 26, 2006 On tap at Mulligans in Manchester, VT on 3/25/06. Nice reddish color with a tiny white head that dissipates fast. Aroma was nice and balanced with hops and malt. Flavor was sweet with a bit of hops, definitely a malty brew, but still even keel. Easy drinker for a great restaurant.
