Commercial Description:
British brewers of colonial times utilized the preservative qualities of hops and alcohol to assure that their "pale ale" survived the long trip to colonial India. We believe this to be one of the HOPPIEST brews in the States. ENJOY!

Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a clear orange color with a thin layer of ivory bubbles, mostly around the edges. Aroma is of light grains and grassy hops with some orange. Taste is of light grains well blended with grassy hops, and notes of honey and orange. Light to medium bodied, crisp and well carbonated. Ending is of light grassy hops bitterness.

hitchhiker courtesy of Tempest. A minimalist IPA, with a lagerish taste, aroma, and mouthfeel. Its a lighter colour with a bit of grapefruit colour. There is above average carbonation and powdery citrus aroma.

From the bottle... hazy appearance with nice hoppy aroma, somewhat tangy. Mild taste compared to most IPA’s but memorable. Standard body but lots of carbonation. All around drinkable IPA.

Enjoyed this one on draught at the brewery in Bridgewater Corners, VT. This beer pours to a slightly hazy, deep golden, to light amber color, with a thick, creamy white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose on this beer is very zesty and fragrant, with lots of good citrus aromas of lemon peel and citron. The palate is crisp, with good pale malt flavor, paired with a nice back drop of lemony hop flavor. This beer finishes with more good pale malt and hop flavor, then ends with a nice burst of lemon/grapefruit hop bitterness that lingers. Very well done AIPA with good bite aroma, flavor, and bitterness. Was a great match with the spicy Buffalo chicken fingers, and halapeno poppers on the brewpub menu. Well worth seeking out.

Cloudy, amber/gold appearance with a small, off white head and good lacing. Muted aroma displayed some citrus characteristics. Taste was fairly bitter, lemony, some soapyness. Aftertaste had a good hop bite with a medium length finish.

Bottle (12oz). Hazy gold with a lasting smallish white foamy head. Sweet tangy resin hop aroma, lemony malt, slightly herbal - very nice but has a tendency to smell just a hair too much like Lemon Pledge as it warms. Taste is a fairly mild resin/lemon zest/herbal hop melange with sweet malt backing - not bad, not memorable. Thin body, solid carbonation, weak astringency, incredibly quick unmemorable finish - I could drink a lot of these, I’m just not sure I’d ever bother too.

If you LOVE hops, this is your brew. Nose to toes, this IPA bleeds hop presence. Thick on the tongue, front to back, side to side. Refreshing and satisfying. Clean your palate between sips (or gulps!) and you’ll relive that first exhilarating taste right down to the bottom of the glass. Nice lace, smallish, white head. Excellent example of the style.

Decent IPA with citrusy overtones. Much better on tap than in a bottle. I recommend to try a 6 pack, but don’t go for a 12.
