Commercial Description:
British brewers of colonial times utilized the preservative qualities of hops and alcohol to assure that their "pale ale" survived the long trip to colonial India. We believe this to be one of the HOPPIEST brews in the States. ENJOY!

2004 bottle at Julio’s Spring Beer Festival, 4/02/05. Clear golden-yellow body, small white head, fair retention, some lacing. Aroma of simple, citrus hops and light fruity yeast. Little bit of pale malt to balance, some dry hay-mineral-like notes. Flavor is dry and hoppy, bordering astringent. Fruits, minerals, some iron in there that dosent belong and a bit of soap. Boring, unwavering hops bitterness, little malt backbone, medium body, moderate carbonation. Yawn....

Very dissapointing. Orange coloured. Aroma and flavour are lager-like. Slightly metallic finish. Rather thin. Not very hoppy at all.

bottle...clear orangish pour with medium white head. Floral hop aroma, some skunk aroma also. Crisp, one dimensional. Floral hop flavors, some lingering bitterness. Maybe a hint of malt, however mostly uninteresting. Some grapefruit bitterness to finish.

Not a hoppy as i expected, anda lot of malt charachter in my view for an IPA. Malt character seemed to be slightly corny. It was still a decent brew. It poured a yellowishorange color. Most IPA’s i have had where a deep orange or kind of an amber brew.

Clean, hoppy nose with a touch of citrus. Medium orange color. Nice crisp flavor, with an equally dry, crisp finish. Very drinkable. Would buy again.

Cloudy Orange, white head. Citruy sweet aroma. Crispy, cany orange slice flavor, with hints of pine. Earthy, "dirty", peppery finish. Nicely enjoyable.

Decent head. Slightly rocky and leaves some decent lacing. Orange and hops in the aroma. Bit of bread and malt also. Light carbonation. Color is a medium orange. Flavor is a little weak. Decent hops but not much substance. Some bitterness with more orange. Finish is clean and dry and slightly bitter. A decent pale ale.
