Commercial Description:
British brewers of colonial times utilized the preservative qualities of hops and alcohol to assure that their "pale ale" survived the long trip to colonial India. We believe this to be one of the HOPPIEST brews in the States. ENJOY!

Decent head. Slightly rocky and leaves some decent lacing. Orange and hops in the aroma. Bit of bread and malt also. Light carbonation. Color is a medium orange. Flavor is a little weak. Decent hops but not much substance. Some bitterness with more orange. Finish is clean and dry and slightly bitter. A decent pale ale.

Fairly fruity and mildly hoppy nose. Clear golden copper coloured with decent whiye head that recedes to partial cover. Strong caramel, fruity esters and a decent balancing bitterness with some grapefruit hop flavour that never overwhelms. Medium body with mildly engaging carbonation. A very good English style IPA. Bottle.

Bottle delivered via courier straight and fresh from the brewery. Golden and clear with a white head. Gentle hoppy fruity aroma. Flavor is fresh with hops, and has a dry malt flavor. Nice lingering hops. This beer IMO is only good when fresh.

Almost more malts in the nose than hops. Not sure which kind of hops, but this is certainly a non-west coast IPA. Copper amber color with a small quickly dissipating off-white head. Thin to start with some caramel roasted malts in the middle finishing rather hoppy and bitter. Not too shabby, but nothing special either.

Golden amber color, off white head. Aroma of some spicy hops, but not many, and some sweet pale malts. Flavor was a bit fruity, malty, with hops as a total afterthought. Slightly dry, light bitterness, lighter bodied. Needs some work.

Bottle, from Julio’s. Good nose, Citrus mainly, orange, grapefruit, lemon, lime. Little toffee too. Clean orangy yellow color. Small head, left ring around edge of glass. Bitter sweet flavors, same as aroma. Quick bitter bite, then some sweetness. Thin body, kinda creamy. bitterdry finish. Tasty easy drinkin beer. I remember when this was one of the hoppiest beers I could find.
