Pilsner malt and sweet fruit in the aroma and absolutely no hops!! Sweet and somewhat sugary flavor. More like a sweet pilsener than an IPA. Where the hell is the hops?!? | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 14, 2004 An orange beer with a small white disappearing head. The aroma is sour and slightly hoppy. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and a sticky mouthfeel. This reminds me of a pilsener, not at all of an IPA. madsberg (5075), Søborg, Denmark
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 12, 2004 Bottled: Golden coloured. White medium sized head. Malty and light hoppy aroma. Nothing special. Flavour is hoppy as a good pilsener, but not nearly as hoppy as other examples of the style. Is dry and light bitter in the end. BuckNaked (1211), Tempe, Arizona, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 19, 2004 Bottle: Pours to an amber color with a medium off white head that fades to a small lace. Aroma has many notes from the hops - citrus, grapefruit, pine - and some toasted bread from the malt. Flavor is quickly hoppy (though not the hoppiest), biting, and bitter, then mellows out into a light mildly sweet malt flavor with just a touch of grass and caramel. happy4hops (369), Bel Air, Maryland, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 4, 2004 Nice amber color, small off white head that had a decent hangtime then faded to a small lace. The aroma was Hoppy and grapefruit with a faint pine hint and a somewhat sweet side coming through as well.Nice mild malt with a good hop presence some grapefruit and all in a nice light flavor that makes this brew fairly easy to drink without the usual heavy bitterness that some can have.Nicely done and well worth trying again. Thanks go to Oldgrowth for sending this bottle my way. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA
