Commercial Description:
British brewers of colonial times utilized the preservative qualities of hops and alcohol to assure that their "pale ale" survived the long trip to colonial India. We believe this to be one of the HOPPIEST brews in the States. ENJOY!

Bottle Pours a cloudy gold orange with a lasting white head. Has a musty hoppy aroma. Has some muted citrus with a damp rag hints. Has okay carbination. Mouthfell alright. Has a slightly bitterness to it but not very strong. Has an okay finish. I can taste the alcohol. This one missed for me. Maybe it was a bad bottle but lacked depth and the flavor I was looking for. I may have to try it another time.

Bottle, slightly cloudy golden color, No head and only a little lacing. Nice Hops aroma and a fairly big taste impacy for an IPA. Citrus, resin, and pepper flavors, with a slightly less than full mouth feel, but clean finish.

Draft and bottles. Multiple tastings. (previous tastings from memory) Tasted this as part of a sampler at the brewpub. This one did not leave much of an impression so I may need to taste it again.

Really great showing of an IPA. Tastes even better when you are in the hot tub at Stratton, VT, and its about 5 degrees out.

Bottle at Hophead75’s place. Apparently the unfiltered version? Seemed fairly filtered to me- almost entirely clear and nothing on the bottom of the bottle- bright copper and a nice head. Aroma is light on the hoppy side for an Ipa- citrus and floral with a bti metallic and crackery malt hint. More citrus hops int he flavor gets a bit stale and metallic like cascade character- with some lemon- dry doughy cracker malt backbone and the end with a raw harsh bitterness that also has some metallic hints. Meh.

Pours a four finger white head that fades slowly and leaves a good lace. Cloudy light amber color. Piney/hoppy nose. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Flavor is piney/hoppy as expected, lingering bitter finish. Mellows a little as it warms. 12oz bottle part of 12-pak $10.99 Market Basket Concord, NH.

12oz bottle. Poured a dark straw yellow color with a finger of head. Smell was citrus fruit, along with light pine and hoppiness. Taste had a decent hop bitterness with citric flavors of lemon and grapefruit. had a malt sweetness that finished with a nice dry bitterness. Somewhat thin, but with excellent carbonation
