May 19, 2008 You could pick up the cascade hops in the aroma and on the first taste. Had this one at the brewery on a recent trip up north. It was tasty IPA. I think I would put it mid way through the pack.

May 11, 2008 A tastey brew from Long Trail. Pours a vibrant cloudy amber colour with a large white head, soft floral notes, and pine. Taste is moderately hopped, and generous in grapefruit and lime flavor.

Apr 30, 2008 Updated: May 22, 2008Pours a nice hazy bright gold with a thin dense white head. Retention and lacing are actually very nice. This is a very good looking beer in my book. Smell is mainly of citrus hops, with lemon being the major aroma. There is also a sweet malt background that comes through with a faint resiny pine hop smell. Bitter metallic hop taste up front with a very light sweet malt taste afterward. I get a little bit of pine and grass in this one and the finish is rather light with not much hop kick. Relatively light mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. The rest of the beer doesn’t stack up to the initial appearance. It’s a pretty bland IPA and I wouldn’t go out of my way to get this one.

Apr 12, 2008 This was the 4th Long Trail beer I’ve tried so far and I really liked the previous 3, so I thought I would like this as well. A pretty nice IPA. Copper color with a relatively small off white head. Moderate amount of lace. Aroma wasn’t the greatest however, slightly woody. Very flavorful hoppy taste that turns a little sour and bitter.

Mar 20, 2008 Pours a cloudy gold orange with a small white head. Smells of big citrus, and spice, with just a mild hop presence. Doesnt smell like an IPA. The taste is very spicy, with a lot of citrus as well. Doesnt even taste like an IPA. What the hell? Where are the hops? I could drink it ok, it wasnt bad, just tasted nothing like an IPA. Light bitterness in the finish, but more from the spice. Poor effort if this is what they are going for.

Mar 4, 2008 Light bronze with white head. Aroma of citrus. Not much hop in this, just very plain and unflavorful. Not a good IPA at all, but drinkable.

Feb 11, 2008 not the best IPA I have had. when you first pour it you are introduced to a very Belgian White type of colored beer, and there is a decent amount of sediment from it being unfiltered. As stated by others, towards finish it has a malty presence, which for an IPA is quite different. Definitely a summer type of gentle IPA.

Jan 19, 2008 Drinkable. Just very plain. Minor notes of malts mixed in with citrus. It was like an IPA light maybe? Just weak on all aspects.
