Commercial Description:
British brewers of colonial times utilized the preservative qualities of hops and alcohol to assure that their "pale ale" survived the long trip to colonial India. We believe this to be one of the HOPPIEST brews in the States. ENJOY!

Pours nice and amber like a decent IPA. Well defined hop nose with a bit of a floral scent in the background. Flavor is mildly sweet up front with a good balance of hops in the finish. Flavor doesn’t last for too long in comparison to other IPAs.

Surprisingly good IPA from a company with heavy malts. Much lighter and citrus hops to the hilt. Very refreshing summer brew.

12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy yellow w/just a hint of red. Small white head w/o much lace. Nose is of hops w/some light fruity aroma. The hops dominate the flavor. It is an IPA. The finish is bitter w/a lingering aftertaste.

Very cloudy-unfiltered. Golden color, light yellowy cream head. delicate lacing. Lemony and apple aromas. Excites the nostrils. Strong hops, not bitter in the aftertaste. Lemon invigorates the palate. Good flavor. Nice IPA. Beer is very pretty.

Pours gold with creamy whisps. Little head. Smells of fresh hops and peach. Tastes of hops and orange peel. Slight sweetness and citrus. Sweet middle with bitter finish. Nice crisp palate that seems a little dry. A different IPA, I must say. Very Enjoyable.

Long Trail IPA is a hazy golden ale with many small particles, topped by a rocky, frothy white head that mostly diminishes but leaves excellent lacing. It has a heavily-hopped aroma of tangerine, pine, perfume, garam masala and something that reminds me of that fresh brewpub cask whiff. It is light to medium bodied-- perhaps a bit thin. The carbonation is soft and the finish is quick and clean. The flavor starts moderately acidic and bitter and ends up lightly sweet and heavily bitter-- a bit top-heavy with tangerine and arbor vitae. The finish is suprisingly short. It’s a good IPA.

Not a bad IPA, but not fantastic. This tastes like a weaker version of some of the better American IPAs.
