Commercial Description:
British brewers of colonial times utilized the preservative qualities of hops and alcohol to assure that their "pale ale" survived the long trip to colonial India. We believe this to be one of the HOPPIEST brews in the States. ENJOY!

A great IPA from vermont. Nice copper tones, loads of hops and a fresh clean finish. Another winner from Long Trail Brewing.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Appearance: It had a hazy golden color with a modest, slightly off white colored head. The head has very good retention as it hangs on well and leaves lots of cool white lace rings on the glass. Smell: The aroma has a slightly floral bouquet with solid citrus and pine notes in the nose. Taste/Mouth feel: There is a solid hop presence up front and throughout. It is not over the top or in your face bitter hops but it brings solid fruity citrus and piney to the overall character. The hops are tempered by a nice biscuity malt and dry earthy yeast that give it some balance and nice complexity. The finish is slow with dry yeast and hop flavors lingering a bit but not overstaying there welcome. The body has a good solid medium feel and hardy texture with average carbonation. Notes: Very well done in my humble opinion.

Enjoyed this one on draught at the brewery in Bridgewater Corners, VT. This beer pours to a slightly hazy, deep golden, to light amber color, with a thick, creamy white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose on this beer is very zesty and fragrant, with lots of good citrus aromas of lemon peel and citron. The palate is crisp, with good pale malt flavor, paired with a nice back drop of lemony hop flavor. This beer finishes with more good pale malt and hop flavor, then ends with a nice burst of lemon/grapefruit hop bitterness that lingers. Very well done AIPA with good bite aroma, flavor, and bitterness. Was a great match with the spicy Buffalo chicken fingers, and halapeno poppers on the brewpub menu. Well worth seeking out.

Crystal clear orange color, a light sweet hoppy smell. Medium body. Decent malt overpowered by a sharp bitterness that doesn’t seem to linger too much. Crisp clean bite to it. This is probably Long Trail’s best considering they tend to be over the top and an IPA is suited to just that as it is not so appropriate to other styles.

If you LOVE hops, this is your brew. Nose to toes, this IPA bleeds hop presence. Thick on the tongue, front to back, side to side. Refreshing and satisfying. Clean your palate between sips (or gulps!) and you’ll relive that first exhilarating taste right down to the bottom of the glass. Nice lace, smallish, white head. Excellent example of the style.

Bottle from lou18 Thanks!

Pours a rich orange with a peculiar aroma of banana and gum. Slight tinge of grapefruit as it warms. Suitable head with clinging lace. Taste is a mild flood of hops, citrus, and sour. Nice, refreshing. Palate is nice. If not for the relatively high ABV, this would make a great session beer. I like this one. Really, really good. Honest, straigthforward, and tasty. Must have more.

Clean, hoppy nose with a touch of citrus. Medium orange color. Nice crisp flavor, with an equally dry, crisp finish. Very drinkable. Would buy again.

not intense hop aroma but flowery and pleasant. Copper color, lots of lace. Hops throughout, very little malt. not intensely bitter like I prefer in an Ipa but pleasant. A good FPC beer at our Gloucester camp site.
