Aroma:light toffee aroma... Appearance:amber light head.... Flavor:Malt flavor,sweet malt.......

Red copper ale with light brown head. Light caramle malt and faint hops. Sweet malt and light hops in mouth. Average body.

Mar 2002 Bottled. Very dark brown, yet transparent color; medium, stable head. Aroma somewhat weak, but with interesting characteristics of bitter herbs and caramel. Flavor chocolaty and hoppy, with quite bitter, long finish. Body a little thin. Not as good as the brewer's Double Bag, but recommendable. Jan 2004 Marginally less interesting; starts out reasonably well, but where's the body? Wateriness is only good for ... water.

Well balanced, with just the right amount of chocolate malts.
