| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 28, 2002 Updated: Jan 19, 2004Mar 2002 Bottled. Very dark brown, yet transparent color; medium, stable head. Aroma somewhat weak, but with interesting characteristics of bitter herbs and caramel. Flavor chocolaty and hoppy, with quite bitter, long finish. Body a little thin. Not as good as the brewer's Double Bag, but recommendable. Jan 2004 Marginally less interesting; starts out reasonably well, but where's the body? Wateriness is only good for ... water. TaktikMTL (2786), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada

Light, clean body with sweet grainy malt, caramel and fruit flavors. Very little hops are detected. The finish is sweet with caramel malt lingering in the aftertaste. Pretty average overall.
