This is a good mild IPA, when you’re looking for a decent hop aroma and finish but don’t want to be smacked over the head with it. I was surprised by the orange aroma and the touch of that flavor in there. I liked that.

12oz. Bottle Long Trail’s IPA poured deep golden into my pint glass. There was a yeast cloud from the bottle conditioning even after a careful pour. Looks like what you would encounter from a wit. A 1 finger micro bubbled white head sits on top but fades fairly quickly to a solid top coat.Big lively carbonation bubbles raise from the bottom of my glass. Wow this beer smells much different than I picture an IPA. It actually smells like a wit too. There’s orange peel in the nose along with a yeast spiciness. There is definately some clove as well. Smells refreshing. Wow! Just like a white ale. I honestly think that this is a wit that is labeled wrong. The yeast spice is in the taste as well. A splash of orange and a sprinkling of white pepperand some other spices including clove. There’s a slight bite on the swallow but it’s more from the spiciness than any hops. The mouthfeel is good. It’s on the lighter side of medium. Lively carbonation tickles the tongue and pushes this ale through the palate. Velvety smooth. Very refreshing. Drinkability is high. This is a definate summer beer to be enjoyed on a hot afternoon. I’m confused on this because it is supposed to be an IPA but it seems to be more along the lines of a hefe. Everything about it points to being a white ale. With that being said it is a good brew.

Great aroma of pine hops. Undertones of medicine. Cloudy orange color with little white foam, small amount of lacing. Taste is bitter throughout. Lingering bitter finish.

12 oz bottle. Poured a pale yellow with a thin head. Smells of pine and citrus. Taste very little hops but balanced with a creamy taste. This was just an ok Ipa for me.

NICE PINEY TASTE WITH A PLEASANT FLORAL AROMA. NO CITRUS BITTER HERE. SOAPY HEAD AND AN ALTOGEATHER DECENT BEER. KINDA CREAMY, LIKE THE BRITS LIKE. GOOD HOPPY BURPS.

Pours a hazy golden orange with a thin white head. Aroma of grapefruit. Not a ton of hops apparent for an IPA. Citrus is overwhelming. Decent ale, nothing to write home about.

Thin head which disappears quickly. Minimal carbonation. So much for the carbonation in a bottle. Zippy aroma with some bitter orange, malts and a little bit of hops. Color is a cloudy medium orange. Wow, this really does not resemble an IPA at all. Some bready malts, minimal hops and more orange. Very easy drinking. Minimal alcohol presence. Minimal on a lot of fronts. Finish has some hops presence and bitterness but not much. Litle lingering floral hops. Sorry guys, nothing special with your "unfiltered" batch.
