It’s a pleasant house character, but of-fputting all the same. Sweet and lightly floral. Actually, very floral. That’s the majority of the hop flavor, with some orange as well. Candy-like sweetness from the malt. i definitely appreciate the unfiltered creamy mouthfeel. Medium bodied and rich. Really not bitter. it’s a stretch to call it an IPA, but it’s a nice American pale ale. OKBeer (1159), Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

Hazy golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. Peachy, perfumed aroma. Fresh peachy hop flavours accompany a light caramel introduction. Medium bodied, juicy. Against the grain with this one, I guess, but it was all peaches and I like peaches. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 20, 2007 Bottle. Poured a cloudy orange with lots of floaties and a medium white head leaving spotty lacing. Another bottle poured just a bit hazy with no floaties. Aroma mostly flat and doughy, with some citrusy and peachy hop scents trying to escape from underneath. A citrus hoppiness does show up more in the flavor, but it is mostly restrained and/or subdued by the unfiltered body. Not a bad beer overall, but there’s really nothing here for an IPA fan to get worked up over. jcwattsrugger (5528), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 11, 2007 12oz bottle-pours a big foamy to rocky white head that laces and hazy yellow/gold color. Aroma is nice perfumy, sweet apricot/lemon-hops. Taste is mild perfumy, slight bitterness, sweet lemon hops, secondary medium malt. Some raw/dry hops at the finish. OK/mild carbonation. Nice session IPA. gwpom (250), Akron, New York, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 1, 2007 12 oz bottle. Orange color with some ’stuff’ floating around in it.... I suppose it’s the stuff that normally gets filtered out. I’m not particularly fond of IPAs but will drink them in the variety packs. I try not to keep my personal preferences from tainting my rating, but just compare one beer to another. This is not as bitter as some I’ve had, which I prefer, but as for the unfiltered, I’m not keen about having stuff floating around in my brew. Sorry IPA fans. Lightly cloudy, apricot colr with decent head and lacing. Nice hop nose followed by quenching citrus and hop spiciness in a fairly well balanced beer. xproudfoot (729), Paleolithic, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 5, 2007 Cloudy dark golden color with distinct orange....a light scented brew with a crisp flavor profile like the original long trail ale...very tasty straight out of the bottle...not the greatest IPA aftertaste almost as if the citrus fruits are starting to turn a tad..oh man i turned a 40 to a 39...:(
