| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 15, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow with a 1/2" white head. Aroma is mild malt and hops. Palate is a tad thin and on the watery side. Carbonation is average. Taste is a bit on the boring side. No real hop presence, it does say IPA on the bottle, and a little taste of malt. Finishes bitter. Nothing special here. SFLpunk (132), South Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 7, 2009 22oz brown glass pry-top. No date (disappointing for such an involved brewery).
Appearance: Beautiful stiff white head of 2 inches sits atop a hazy pale amber autumn brew. Seriously pretty to look at!
Nose: Some sweet hop notes, a little biscuit, and a little suggestion of dried herbs.
Palate: Not entirely dry, round mouthfeel. Medium-bodied and only moderately bitter. Hops aren’t adding any texture really, but there’s a prickle of alcohol. Fairly clean and neat with flavors of mixed citrus (not sharp or sour, though), biscuit and pale malts, with a moderately dry finish (doesn’t grab all the sugar).
Notes: A well constructed IPA. Not extreme in any way, but a good session IPA. Would drink over most other NE IPA’s.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 24, 2009 My Bottom Line:
This friendly India Pale Ale showcases citrusy hops and wort-like base cereals in a slightly watery body which concludes in a decent wooden hop bitterness.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the veiled golden sunshine.
-The body is slender and healthy, increasing drinkability.
-The hop signature seems to be different from that of their beautiful Double IPA.
-This is a nice introduction to the style for neophytes, but might be too run-of-the-mill for craft beer lovers to start raving about it.

Hazy very light orange color, big thick head of bright white foamy head. Light citrus and floral notes on the nose with some mild bitterness. Flavor starts with a light peppery citrus bitterness. Mild citrus notes and some earthy spiciness, along with some sharp acrid notes round out the hop character. Minimal bready, grainy malt backbone. Flavor is decent, if limited in dimension. Palate becomes the real weak point on this one- very watery and thin, most of the flavor coming in the back end. Finish is crisp and clean, mainly due to lack of body. Decent IPA, but nothing to get too excited over. popkow (113), New York, New York, USA

Slightly water down IPA but refreshing on a hot day. Golden color, sweet palate with hops and an herbal finish. lemasney (398), Trenton, New Jersey, USA

Purchased at: The Beer Outlet for $1.25
Aroma: faint lemon citrus, pleasant.
Visuals: fair packaging, mindful of Vermont, Body is yellow to deep sunset with an off white head, goes from brilliant to cloudy with pouring, little fine lace.
Taste: slight sweetness, a lot of malted barley flavors, hops provide a bitter flavor, but light.
Palate: Starts quite crisp, moves to drying, lingering taste is of roasted malts.
Overall: Enjoyable, most especially for the price, a bit lemony and summery for the style, but enjoyable.
