12oz Bottle: Cloudy orange w/ a small eggshell white head. Light citrus hop aroma & kind of cardboardy. Flavor is mild citrus hops. Kind of thin & mild for an IPA. What can you do? Move onto the next beer!

Bottle. Underrated! Just really nice citrus tang, pine resin, semi-dry, bitter, great balance without sacrificing that luscious hop flavor. 3.06? Really?

Bottle. Pours a light orange, slightly cloudy, with a small white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, bitter and grassy hops. Flavor is moderately hoppy, with nice hop oils, and a bitter finish. Palate is a bit weakish. For its price though, it is one of the better IPAs and a very good value. I would have this again as a session beer. 6/4/7/3/14

Update 9/25/08: Lots of floral hops in the flavor along with bitter grassy hops. Smooth palate and more full-bodied than I remembered. I guess I underrated this one, so I changed my scores.

On tap at Breakwater’s in Burlington. Watching some fireworks from the lakes edge on the 4th of July. Pours hazy with a long-lasting head. Aroma is pine. Body is medium. Smooth bitterness. Nice.

Bottle- Hazy orange pour unleashes a frothy, and short lived white foam, that dies down to a thin ring. Some minute lace. The aroma is chock full of pine needle and floral notes, with grapefruit and spices. This IPA is very piney. The taste is full on pine needles and very bright hops with a whallop of grapefruit towards the finish and just a touch of earthy, malt sweetness. If this was named Pine Needle IPA, I wouldn’t be surprised. Finish is creamy, quite sharp with the hops, and a smidgen of malts. Very hop forward and not very balanced at all, but in this case it is the unbalanced aspect that makes this beer quite delicious. Thanks mom!

Smells quite malty for an IPA, some soft sour hop notes. Taste is lacking in hops, some light malt tones. Not bad, but a little weak for an IPA.

bottle. not a bad offering from long trail. pours hazy orange - its bottle conditioned so there is a fair amount of sediment at the bottom of the bottle. hops are resinous with a slight citrus edge. solid flavoring but not overpowering. the carbonation is a bit fizzy, but otherwise its a tasty session brew for a good price.

Pours a hazy golden orange, with a minimal head. The nose is grainy and grassy. Light sweet malt, but smells more like a lemony hopped up wheat. The palate is a little fizzy, but not overly carbonated, with some graininess. The flavor is strong and unrefined. Not particularly clean. Grassy grainy wheaty flavors predominate. Some lemony citrus. The finish has some floral points, but as that clears up to be the after taste, earthy flavors come in.
