Commercial Description:
We've brewed our filtered IPA for 13 years, and never considered offering the REAL (unfiltered) version that is naturally carbonated just as it comes out of our fermenters. Well here it is! We hope you enjoy our REAL IPA.

Pretty relaxed. Well hopped with sweet, pulpy fruit. Tangerines. Sweet until a little round dryness hits in the finish. Hints of yeast and golden cereals. I’d hit that.

A: Poured with a small, white head... some fair lacing throughout drinking. Body is dark orange and quite cloudy. S: Aroma is equally of hops and orange; quite a lot of fruit compared to a lot of other IPAs. T: The flavor of this beer is certainly decent, but it’s actually kind of weak compared to a lot of others I’ve had. The bitterness and hoppiness is still there at the finish, but it’s actually just as sweet as it is bitter. Easy to drink, but it could use a little more character. M: Nice on the palate, with a medium body and creamy texture, and average carbonation. D: Very easy to drink, a good IPA to ease others into the class... but I prefer something with a little more ’oomph’ to it, and I’m no hophead.

Good session beer. Not as hoppy as I would like. This one is good not great.

In a sampler, goldish pour with frothy offwhite head. Aroma is slightly piney hops, some light sweet malt. subdued but in my mind rather good, verry drinkable and enjoyable, nothing bad to say about it really. Not bold, but on point.

Why did they never consider selling the ’real’ version? It’s much better than the original. Insanely drinkable ( I downed a 6er in a few hours post wedding reception) and slightly tasty at the same time. Perfect for that moment in time.

Fruity, British IPA aroma. Golden brew, bad label, moderately cloudy. A nice smooth brew, with a good complexity. Sweetish, a bit doughy. Medium mouthfeel and clean ale finish. Thanks to Don W for sharing one that he schlepped all the way down from Vermont.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Hazy golden, mid-sized airy head. Appley nose. Fairly sweet with medium body. Fruity and a bit grainy with notes of hay and orange. Much less aromatic and with less bling bling and shiny hop surface than most American IPAs. Instead it is in possession of depth and soul. This, minus the appley nose, would be something great. Finishes with increasing balanced bitterness. A timid, introvert IPA, made for those who look beyond the search for BIG flavours.
