Draft at Craft. Pours hazy gold even toward margarita greenish with white head. Nose is limey citrus, coriander and spice, banana, bubblegum. Tastes limey, citric, with brown sugary clovey banana, and a crisp, decently balanced finish. Solid. In fact, I dare say a top notch wit.

On tap at the Long Trail event at the Golden Rail. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet, with hints of candied banana. Thin to medium bodied, more banana notes coming through. Little bit of alcohol, and more of that banana yeast flavor. Seems like it needs some acid to balance it out.

Tap GLB. Aroma is sweet with banana and cotton candy. Taste is similar. Nice body and smooth but has the gummy taste. Some citrus and light bread make it better.

Draught at Brazen Head. Poured a totally flat, headless and lifeless cloudy urine color, but that’s probably a result of a dodgy tap. Aromas of wheaty malt, lemon, orange and spices. Sweet and flowery honey, orange and lemon flavors laced with a complex herbal package--coriander for sure, but also maybe fennel seed and ginger as well. Reminiscent of the Coney Island Albino Python. For some reason this one really kicked me in the head booze-wise. Too strong and busy for a session Wit, and too light and citrusy for a winter specialty ale, but an interesting concoction nonetheless.

Pours gold with a white head. Smells of coriander, some ginger, sweet wheat. Tastes citrussy and spicy with a sweet finish.

Very interesting, unique beer, but not something I especially loved. Still, I can appreciate what they were going for, and I think they did a great job with it. The aroma was a strong lemon scent. Tiny little bubbles on the tongue. The taste was very very very strong licorice corriander, fennel, anise. I would have actually called this an "indian" beer because of those flavor profiles. The appearance was great. Looked just like an orange julius...a bit cloudy, but in a good way, with a nice white, creamsicle-type of head.

Another beer-basket gift from Bob--danke! Dark, malty-looking body frames a strange picture in a weisen tumbler.... body is rather clear with a foamy off-white head... fruity yet medium-bodied, somewhat malty fragrance--a bit off in some respects... thin, swift texture.... average effervescence.. chewy when held between the back teeth... an odd amalgamation of malt and wheat--defintely a unique attempt at a "winter" brew--an empty, almost lagerish aftertaste leaves the experience rather flat.... Long Trail’s beers tend to have a light, fizzy presence; I applaud their attempt to produce something more substantial... not sure how this would session--I like my winters a bit more complex...

On tap at the Blue Dog in Chalfont, PA. Slightly hazy golden pour with thin white film head. Aroma was mild citrus and yeast. Flavor was basic citrus, spice and yeast. Thin body and sweeter than most whites. I was a bit disappointed in this one, I expected more from Long Trail here.
