Commercial Description:
Our Festival Ale is mostly about the hops. It's an American Brown Ale with a noticeable hop flavor and aroma. It is also double hopped, meaning two varieties of hop were used in this beer. Williamette for flavor and Cascade for aroma. Those of you who have been here for a while know that Cascade hops are a very distinctive, very American hop, grown and used almost exclusively here in the United States. There is a balanced malt flavor and slight sweetness to this beer with an ABV of about 5.5 - 6.0%.

Extremely nondescript. Brown, sweetish malts, and some citrusy hops. Some mild earthiness. Aroma is, unsurprisingly, grapefruit, but there’s not too much of it. I wouldn’t really agree that this is "mostly about the hops".

On tap at the brewpub. Copper in color with a nice white head. Flavor is hoppy. Nice beer. Caramel in flavor. Full bodied. Smooth and crisp. Fresh hoppiness. Good. Nice beer.

Tap at the brewpub. Clear/copper with a white head. Hoppy aroma. Carmel and hoppy flavor. Medium body. Fresh hops. More like a nice American Pale Ale than a Brown, but a nice brewpub beer none-the-less.
