LongNecks Dog Bark Dark Bock

On tap at the Longneck Brew Pub. Poured a darker brown color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, roast, light chocolate, and a little fruity. Tastes of roast, chocolate, caramel, and nutty.

On tap at Longnecks Brew Pub. Dark brown with a thin off-white head. Aroma of light caramel, roasted and dark malts and light fruit. Taste of maple, mild fruit, caramel and roasted malts. Body is creamy and finishes nondescript. Served in a chilled glass that quickly left a layer of ice on top of my beer, yikes.

Your first initial glance at this beer, might lead you to believe it is a full bodied bock with plenty of structure, but after the taste it feels very light in the mouth. A hint of nutmeg in the aroma, soft finish. Could be a little heavier.

On draught at the brewpub in Vernon, Wisconsin, south of Waukesha. Pours a clear dark copper brew with a thick and creamy off-white head that has some nice retention and some sticky lacing. Aroma of roasted dark caramel malt, some grassy hops, a touch of chocolate and toffee. Taste is medium bodied, well-carbonated with flavors of roasted caramel malt, some dry grassy hop character with a touch of tart berries. Finish is slightly dry and light flavored of dried dark malt and a touch of tart berry.
