Skyview (3142), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Aug 30, 2008 On draught at the brewpub, south of Waukesha, WI. Pours a semi-hazy amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing and a thin off-white ring. Aroma is very light until comes up to room temperature that has a golden grain malt with wheat, a touch of caramel and flowery hops. Taste is light bodied, average carbonation with flavors of multi-grain malt with wheat, some white bread, a touch of lemon zest and some flowery hops. Finish is light, crisp with a very faint bread malt aftertaste. Happy to notice their beers are starting to have more flavor. hopdog (4950), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 19, 2008 On tap at the Longneck Brew Pub. Waitress told me this was their ’dark’ wheat. Poured a medium amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of wheat, light citrus, and light caramel. Tastes follows suit. Much better than their ’light’ wheat. esjaygee (951), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Jun 15, 2008 On tap at Longnecks Brew Pub. Brewmaster described it as "Our new Sunburn Red is an unfiltered wheat ale made with a combination of American grown red wheat, golden wheat and a small amount of rye." Hazy light amber with a medium white head. Aroma of wheat, sweet malt and a touch of rye. Taste of wheat, lemon, rye and sweet malt. Mildly astringent finish but mostly clean.
