Light brown, thick lasting creamy tan head.Rich carmel malt nose.Light citrus/carmel malt start, slightly subdues but lasting hop finish. Ok but needs more malt

(Draught) sampled at the brewpub. Pours a lasting thin white head with a deep bronze body. Nose of citrus and hops. Flavour is similar to Phillips Black Toque - strong tart cascade hops with a mild malt base. Finishes with a long lasting hops. Its really not an Alt, so by style this would score fairly low because there is NO BREADY malt base and the hops bring it to the opposite end of the realm. But it is yummy.

Tap@Longwood. Citric flowery nose. Dark golden, brownish cream. Strong hop note. Light body, ok malty chewyness. Light resiny retronasa.l Its not a Alt by any means, but actuallynot a bad pale ale.

Longwood can be hit and miss, but I liked this alt when I had it on tap at the Alibi. Poured with a nice orangeish head and looked beautiful in the glass. Has a nice grainy flavour that I tend to enjoy.

draft at alibi room in vancouver. dark copper color, translucent. great copper head looks like the surface of the moon with small bubbles. lasts really long too. interesting aroma of woody malt backbone with a sweet syrupy overtone. no hops,, unsurprisingly. yikes, not the best flavor. not particularly sweet, pretty bitter all around, and not in that hops-rule kinda way. maybe a bit metallic, offputting. reminds me of licking the side of a metal pole. which side, i’m not sure. inside. coins in the bottom of the fermenter, only a tiny bit of beer character emerges beyond that. pretty watery as well. light.
