Pours a rather dark slightly cloudy, red/brown, with a thin tan head. Moderate carbonation and medium bodied. Sweet, flavours of coffee, slightly fruity, burnt choc, moderately bitter and sweet finish. - 330 ml brown bottle.

Bottle. Clear dark red brown with no head. Not a very distinctive aroma but definite hints of toffee and coffee. Thick creamy palate. Flavours of dark malts, chocolate, caramel, with no obvious hop bitterness, but some burnt bitter notes. A reasonable beer, but not very special and didn’t seem to really all work together well.

Bottle. Pours dark copper. A finger and a half of beige head, fades to half that. Smells of caramel and resin. Quite carbonated. Dried fruit giving way to coffee and semi-bitter chocolate. Pretty good.

bottle. 6.1%ABV on bottle. Dark amber hue. Nose is caramel and toffee. Medium bodied. Decent drinking, even if a bit generic.

Nice sweet caramel aroma, pours amber with mocha head. Flavour profile is a mix of sweet malts such as toffee, stonefruit and some breadiness that finishes with a nice lingering finish. Quite a pleasent surprise this one is!!

Draught at Lord Nelson, Sydney. This one’s better...it pours amber with a tanned head that lingered. Aroma of caramel, toast, fruit and earthy hop notes. The flavour is caramel, toast, fruit and nuts. Medium bodied and a malty, bitter finish. Without a doubt the best beer on offer though the others are less than average.

Nice pubby place near observatory in the Rocks area of Sydney. Caramelly malt nose light. Cloudy dark amber low clingy head. Nutty malt tight stinging bitter. Alcohil warms going down. Fairly high hopping but with a mix of seemingly stale hops. Very British overall, but hoppier than you’d expect. Ok brew but not terribly exciting.

330ml bottle. Nice little surprise this one. Poured a light tan in colour with a beige to tan medium head and good carbonation with a mixture of small and large bubbles. Aroma of burnt malt and toffee with an underlying hint of chocolate. Great texture and mouthfeel as it leaves a smooth mellow aftertaste. Slight hint of mildly burnt chocolate in the flavour.
