Commercial Description:
This straw colored lager is brewed in true European tradition. Saaz and Tettnang hops provide a slight floral character in the nose and a soft, elegant, bitter finish.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear gold with a lasting white head. Metallic, grainy, and spicy nose. The flavor is like a copper penny with some herbal bitterness and bread as well. Thin and prickly. They are getting the bitterness about right, but the malt is lacking and the metallic notes almost kill it.

On tap. Straw colored in the glass with little head or lacing. Slightly spicey at the beginning, with a heavy, hop grassy bitterness at the end. Nothing particularly remarkable about it.

This was actually a decent pils... or maybe I thought it was decent after trying everything else the brewpub had to offer. More body and malt than I was expecting, a pleasant plus. Other than that I have nothing to say.

I started not to rate this beer simply because I am not a pilsner person. I thought this beer tasted like, dare I say, Bud Light. Nice color, but not a favorite of mine. If you like a pilsner, you might like this better then me.

Initial palate reaction is one of disappointment as the rich golden color is at odds with the insipid taste. The bitter after taste only adds to the poor quality of this product. Budwesier or Miller would be viable alternatives to this beer.

Tap. A golden color (more so than I expected). A wheat yeasty aroma with a smooth crisp flavor.
