| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 8, 2009 A- Pours a pitch black hue with brown and amber highlights, small tan/brown head that is mostly sustaining, fair amount of lacing throughout
S- Fruity scents dominated by raisins and dark fruit (as advertised on the label), I am also getting tones of apple, peach, belgian candy, sweet caramel/toffee malts, and a modest alcohol presence
T- Initial taste is Raisins, Raisins, and more Raisins (almost cloyingly sweet), followed by a variety of fruits and spices, yeasty/bready/sweet malts, a little bit of chocolate and belgian candy, finishes with sweet malts, a touch of bittering hops and warming alcohol presence
M- Medium/full bodied with good carbonation, nice slick texture that coats the tongue in sweetness
D- 9% abv is well-masked, but this definitely a sipping beer to be enjoyed over time (much like a port or desert wine). Think of this as a bigger, bolder, more complex version of Lost & Found supercharged on raisins and dark fruits, great for low-key and/or cold fall and winter evenings. ante (2965), Stockholm, Sweden

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 2, 2009 Bottle from FlacoAlto, thanks! Pours a very dark brown color. No head. Laurel, honey, some flowery herbs (should be the rosemary mentioned on the label) and licorice. No carbon at all!! A thick sweet honeyish fluid , alcoholic with laurel and rosemary. Slightly medecinal aftertaste with coughing syrup. Not a bad beer, very tasty in fact, but should be carbonated to add some life and depth. SuperDave70 (1158), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA

Sweeter gingery spice over darker malt. Slight acidity. Lighter (for style) with lower CO2. Sits on the tongue nicely. Sweet dark fruit raisin. Some cinnamon and gingery srt of yeast flavors. Astringent. Lingering dark fruit toast. Rather lovely. Something reminiscent of Westy 12 perhaps, though more earthly. DuffMan (2774), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada
