Bottle. Body-Dr. Pepper brown with an eighth inch head. Nose-pear, cinnamon. Taste-light dusty apple juice, prune, some tea, light bubble gum, very light metal, syrupy sweetness, flat soda, raisin, dark fruits dominate. Very fresh and medium sweet.

750ml bottle acquired in trade with footy (thanks). Poured a medium to deeper mahogany color with a large sized off white head. Aromas of raisins, yeast, cherries, chocolate, and caramel. Tastes of raisins, other dark fruits, and spices. Thinner body with the alcohol content well hidden.

She’s Ripe, Crisp, Lively, VInous and Alcohol Heavy. The richness of the dark malt and ash give a late roastiness.

Dark rusted brew with burnt orange notes around the edges and a decent 1/4 inch head. This beer has a sweet candied nose and flavors of dark fruit, brown sugar, and alcohol. The brett comes through a bit in the finish but isn’t as prominent as in other beers I’ve sampled. Good beer but not memorable.

About a 3/4 inch head of fine and creamy bubbles. Light carbonation. Nice roasted grain aroma with some chocolate, raisins, plums and a bit of cinnamon. Dark mahagony brown in color. Semi sweet flavor with more raisins, spices and dark roasted malts. Light alcohol presence late swallow. The flavors meld together very well. Creamy and buttery on the palate. Finishes silky smooth with a lingering alcohol warming and strong malt presence. A darn good belgian strong.

Bottle. Interesting beer. Aroma of plums, raisins, cinnamon, rose petals. Couldn’t detect any brett. Pours a dark, thick amber/purple with some copper accents around the edges. More tartness on the palate than on the nose for sure. Plenty of dark, alcohol soaked fruits. Plums and raisins abound. Dark, candied malt. Tart cherry skin. Rich and creamy with a buttery oiliness on the tongue. Finishes with a lasting yeasty tartness and dryness. Thanks Jonathan!

Lots of raisins in there, i think 10% of the ingredients. Muddy dark looking with soapy head. SOur in the finish. Lots of lace. ALcohol in the nose. Nice caramel, sugar, dark fruit, rum-ness.

Fiery red/mahogany color with a tan head. Big malty raison aroma with some smoke, plums, and alcohol. Smooth taste is classic belgian strong dark with earthy, yeasty pit fruits and spices. Sweet but not overly so. Very good beer here. 11187
